A tall evergreen tree, grows to a height of about 60 feet with stout trunk, dense leaves, lanceolate darkb green and glabrous. Flowers white on axillary racemes. Ornamental fruit drupe about an inch in diameter, marked with 5 distinct grooves. Fruits used as beads, considered sacred by Hindus
